Were there only comedies before the 90s?

Why does it focus solely on comedies before the 90s? the only significant drama covered has been the Sopranos. The Wire seems to have been completely forgotten despite have the best drawn characters on television ever. As do ground breaking shows like Star Trek. Or even good modern comedies like Community
