Graduation Reminds Me of Tough Love

Some of these parents were mean, saying the women had to get jobs in a few months and move out. We are living in a high unemployment economy. Probably the parents having plenty of money also have connections to get them jobs quickly. However, many pople are laid off and jobs are frozen, looking for work for months without success. Also the parent who said the woman had to go to school yet spend a lot of time with her child, which is it? You can't do both. I think the letters were a bit too sweet and true, people learned something but I found it a bit much. But good for the parent who said she's not paying for smashed up cars all the time.

I question reality shows as I think everything is scripted. If people got along great it might be boring:)

What I didn't like about it was how the girls were demeaned by the whole process. First, they had to write a statement accepting the blame and kissing up to their parents. Then the parents got to make a set of demands. Amy's mom said, "These are the things I expect from you." Very cold after Amy's really emotional statement of love.

As for the money, I really would like to know how much these girls are being paid for being on the show. I hope it was a lot.

I think that the parents were maybe prodded to give such short limitations on finding a job just to add drama, and that IRL the parents will give the girls more time (have not seen finale yet, watching now)
And it the girl who has a child works out a good schedule, she can do both....

To pay for the young women's extravagant lifestyles, I think it's fair to say at least one of each parent is a successful business person. People don't earn that kind of money without making connections and gathering favors owed.

I bet it's easier for the women on the show to get a decent, entry level job than women their age without well to do parents. Regardless of the economic environment.
