Any ideas on the body bag? SPOILERS

Anybody have any ideas as to why Jake was fished out of the water at night by a diver while encased in a body bag and if there's any connection with that and the boat lights that he runs from?

(SPOILERS about the Alan Wake game)
Personally from what I know about the game I think the Doctor was behind it in an attempt to use the lake's influence/powers so he could mold Jake into writing what he wanted. He does know Alan Wake is on his way but the Doctor seems to collect writers. I've seen Thomas Zane's name mentioned but that wouldn't make a lot of sense since it would corrupt him and that's counter intuitive to Zane's goals. Plus he was trapped still, I believe. I thought the boat was unrelated to it all but I read on wikia that it was the diver driving off. Except the lights get brighter like the boat is approaching shore so I don't know.
