The ending seemed to suggest that Dylan avenged his father's death, who died in the safe which went badly shaped as it hit the bottom of the lake.
But before that the French agent said Shrike's body was NOT found in the safe.
I wonder whether Shrike is actually alive?
Did he really avenge his fathers death?

Mmmm. I don't remember that line.
They obviously left that door open for themselves, but by the end of the second movie, all the characters who logically might know whether Shrike is alive all agree that he's not.
But it's a film series about magicians fooling everyone so ... anything's possible
