It is very difficult to add a reply to this without offending someone, either culterally, religiously or politically, so I wish to add if this offends then I sincerely apologise.
Film-making per-se is not to blame, art is not to blame but the freedom of speech and thought is.
I am lucky to have a certain amount of freedom to my life, yes I do have restrictions, even writing to a forum such as this which is something a large percentage of the worlds population is not allowed to do.
I would like to know what what the Iranians think about this film maker, or Iraqi's, Persians and others from this culture?
Personally I would love to see more of this mans films, and have only started to watch similar films from similar countries, all of which have educated me in many ways.
