Crossdressing and Latent Homosexual Themes: Classic Dreamworks

The scene with the Sirens is beyond creepy, and anyone who continues to show this film to their child after this scene is either out of touch with reality and/or completely could care less about morality and family values.

This isn't an argument being made from the far right. This argument is being made from the perspective of a father who fails to understand why this whole "Siren" scene was even put into this film. It is bizarre, creepy, and without a doubt, the trashiest of all scenes in the Ice Age franchise.

I'm not sure how anyone can disagree. This sort of content being produced for young minds is absolutely grotesque and wrong.

This movie was made by Blue Sky Studios, not DreamWorks.

I fell in love with him the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.

...Um, then I can safely assume you're also against Looney Tunes as well? :/

The sirens scene is creepy, I agree, Especially when Captain Gut was eaten alive by one, that was really creepy for a kids movie.

Sirens have been a basic element in many books, and then movies, about sea-going vessels. Not just pirate stories, any sailing story. It was believed in older days that the sirens could lure sailors off course, into the rocks, where their ships would falter and sink and the men would die. Usually it was the siren's songs that got the sailors' attention. These 'sirens' or mermaids could have been anything in reality from mantees to seals, seen too late to save the ship and its crew.

I really don't get what you are objecting to, as no child I grew up with has been scarred for life by these stories. Are you freaked out by sea serpents too?
