this must be a joke?

uhm, this was the worst movie i've seen in a long time. in my opinion the acting wasn't good, the writing was worse and the cinematography was a joke. seriously, if you look at brandon's face shortly before he's hanging himself, you se NO EMOTION what so ever. how did they cast these people?

this movie doesn't do shakespear's work any justice, for it has such a cheesy quality to it, it's unbearable. i couldn't stand to watch the whole movie and i'm glad i just had to deal with the short version.

I disagree about the acting and cinematography, but I do agree the dialogue is gimmicky. Still, it didn't bother me after a while. I am looking forward to the feature.

... It's an adaptation of the story of Romeo and Juliette ...

Perhaps the reason there is NO EMOTION shown is because the character was numb.

Really... I thought this flick was brilliant! I loved every second of it, and totally loved the acting!

I found the this twist of Shakespeare to be elegant, artfully told, and every freaking bit of human sentiment (those complex things we call EMOTIONS), deeply explored, with good intent. And, of course, the artful redesign of Shakespeare has been done many-fold in all of cinema history.

I am not sure if this will every become a full feature... In my own opinion, I think the whole "to be continued" bit at the end is the way this artist chose to express the timelessness of the subject matter in her art. Romeo and Juliette are forever around... and that great story of love disallowed by human vanity, ignorance, etc. shall always be with us... as long as humans exists.

I highly regard this short subject film.

I will also agree with other posters who pointed out the actor Shannon Kook-Chun is soon to be a force to be reckoned with! :-) Not only is he an attractive young man, but has literally surprised me in his choice of roles... from Degrassi Next Generation (as a gay kid, the love interest of character Riley) to this flick.

Shannon has the acting chops for his age. I feel strongly that we are going to see more of him in the future!

Best!
