I LOVE Julia Roberts

I have noticed on this message board people have posted absolutely horrible and hateful comments about Julia Roberts. People are entitled to their opinions and I am entitled to mine. I happen to love her. As someone else pointed out, Julia lights up any screen she is on. I'm not going to say that every film she has ever made has been brilliant, but there was a period in the 90s when she was unstoppable. Her films made so much money and she became so popular that she ended up on the cover of Time magazine (http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,20010709,00.html) Only a handful of actors can claim that.

For people just to say she is "annoying" or "I hate her" or "I don't like her face" or "I've never seen any of her films and I never will" -- what is the point of posting these comments? These are your "criticisms" of her acting? Give me a break!

Now, "Mirror, Mirror" is NOT her best film; I'm clear on that. And yes, her "accent" vacillated, and it's true there was no reason for her to be "evil" other than the fact that script wanted her to be -- although, frankly, I think the whole character was a parody of rich Beverly Hills women of a certain age who are obsessed with their appearance.

Regardless of this movie's shortcomings, and there were many, Julia knows how to deliver a line with exquisite timing. If she could NOT act, and if she were as awful as some of the awful comments on this message board, she would not never have been hired for the big-money projects she's been featured in, nor be able to command a multi-million dollar salary to do so. or earn an Oscar.

Julia has a certain sunny quality about her and she knows how to add kick to a line and she is aging beautifully. To me, she is on a shortlist of actresses who will continue to be hired well into their golden years, if they so desire to keep working.

100% agree! I love Julia, she's one of few Hollywood actors that is truly deserving of the term 'star'
I actually loved her performance and the overall film Mirror Mirror, so rare to find a fairy tale that has multi layers that works for adults and kids, and Julia's performance is hilarious. I agree also that she's not going for 'evil' which is the right decision, she plays it more like a high school mean girl which she does with great relish!
I've never ever been able to pick who my favourite actress is! It's always been a 3 way tie between Michelle Pfeiffer, Glenn Close and Julia Roberts!
