As a huge Tarsem fan, would I still enjoy this?

I'm sure the topic leaves me open for negative troll responses like "he's never made a good movie so yeah, this piece of trash is right up your alley" and whatnot, but I ask anyway. I found The Cell to be insanely creepy and disturbing as a teen in the theater and even still to this day in my 20's. The Fall was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen even though it dealt with dark subject manner and has often been called boring. I just finished Immortals and thought it was great too, once again it blew me away visually and I found the pacing quite nice with the "boring" beginning and out of control gore at the end.

I'd like to check this out as well if it's visually as stunning as his other 3 films, but I'm a bit hesitant with a PG movie, I'm not sure the visuals alone would do it. I'm not totally against them, for example Up and Wall-E are 2 of my favorite all time movies, at PG and G respectively (though Wall-E had some very dystopian elements and social commentary in it for a movie rated G).

So with that background information about my viewing preferences I ask again, should I give it a go?

Yes, you should give it a go, my dear. I share your sentiments and was apprehensive too, being a fan of Tarsem's other films but I've come to accept in Tarsem's films style can often proceed substance. You should see it, if only for the late Eiko Ishioka's fantastically glorious costumes. Sadly this is the last Tarsem / Eiko Ishioka collaboration. Visually, it is a feast of colour, style and originality - the film itself is no worse than any other in its genre, but certainly not as good as Wall-E.

I've added it to my Tarsem collection. I probably won't watch it as often as The Fall but somehow the collection wouldn't feel complete without it. Whilst the film wasn't very memorable, the costumes are.

It's worth watching and it's because of Tarsem that I watched this but it's not as good as The Fall or The Cell. Apart from him and Eiko's magic as a costume designer it's fairly average.

I am a fan of Tarsem's style but hated Mirror Mirror.
I did not like The Fall either.
The Cell and Immortals were both great.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
