Am I the only one who liked it?

I thought it was funny and a good time. It is definately not my favorite film, but it was a breath of fresh air. And did i mention funny?
Is it just me?

No one who's been criticizing it on this board has even seen it yet as it hasn't released worldwide yet. It has released in my country so I might be watching it this week, keeping my expectations very low though. The trailers don't look very promising but Tarsem complained that they don't do justice to the final product so let's see, I hope it'll be more than just kiddy and toilet humor.

I'm not interrupting anything am I?!

reply

I just saw it, and it was a nice and fun film. A film for the family.

reply

I thought the humor was forced most of the time except for Nathan Lane.

Julia was also good. I do like her in those kind of roles. Wickedly funny.

How was Lily Collins?

Super cool party people bid you a super cool adieu!

reply

There's a charm in her i guess. Overall, she's ok.

reply

Lily Collins is the only bright spot for this movie. She is only person that brings out a character in the movie.

Julia Roberts has her worst performance in this movie, too much overacting.

As far as comedies go, its too simplistic and goofy for my taste.

lily collins looks like a young audrey hepburn

I find it funny too. Quite enjoyable.

reply

It was a lovely little movie. It's for kids mostly but enjoyable for adults as well and yeah it was funny.

really liked it. The costumes were fantastic. And the castle ad the scenery. Very funny, it only slowed down when the dwarves were reading the letter.

It's a good movie. I really liked it. :)

As of today, IMDd as three critic reviews that give it one star short of full marks. I'm looking forward in seeing this.

The Honey Badger. It doesn't give a sh*!.

It's been released since last week here in Dubai, and was hesitant to go see it until the good reviews starting appearing (91% on RT at the moment). And I had a blast. Sure, it's for kids (I'm a 32 year old man), but it's so spirited, funny and with great production values. Roberts pulled off the Evil Queen with grace; as in, she didn't have to go over the top. I liked her approach. It was also "clean" family fun, without the usual innuendo and the endless pop-culture references.

reply

Don't worry OP there are plenty of critics who appear to be enjoying this film as much as you are.

reply

Is it just you?
If you're a preteen girl with an under-developed mind,
then NOOOO!
There are plenty just like you who share your thought.

reply

Good Lord, dear, don't get all uppity. No I am not a preteen girl, I am a genius billionaire philanthropist.
