Are you serious?

I have a bad vibe about this project. The novel itself is a work of art, so why do we have to adapt every work of literature into film? It's going to be quite a challenge, even if Sam Mendes and Mulligan are on board. I hate to see another one of my favorite books butchered until there is nothing left. Hasn't Hollywood learned hundreds of bad movies later, all 'based on' this or that novel?

McEwan's writing the screenplay and he wanted Mulligan to play the part. I have hope.
