Carey Mulligan

I read the book a couple of years ago and LOVED it. When I heard it was going to be made into a movie I was really excited, but then... Carey Mulligan?

Don't get me wrong, I think she's a great actress. I loved her in 'An Education'. But I just don't see her as Florence. She's pretty, but-sometimes-she comes across as rather... homely. I don't know. The Florence I had pictured in my mind DID NOT have dimples.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

I disagree, I definitely didn't see Florence as incredibly stunning, just a normal, and rather serious girl. I don't know how I feel about Carey Mulligan playing her yet, but she's fairly close to what I imagined

Florence was described in a review as ''beautiful though serious''. Saoirse Ronan is playing Florence and she'll do a magnificent job!

Carey Mulligan is a talented young actress, but I am not sure if she's the right one for the part. She just seems way too charming and full of life and passion for the role.
