The trying on clothes scene

I was enjoying the movie pretty well until it got to that scene. It was so strange & seemed inconsistent w/ her character. Also, how the heck did she get away with all she was doing? Laying out over the clothes and making out w/ a manikin and breaking it apart? it would've made more sense if she got kicked out, but no one even approached her. And then to top it, she is surprised when a video of it leaks out?? How could you act like a fool in a store that way & NOT be taped doing it?
On another note, it was so stupid that Madison's friend would happen to be there to film that going on & then happen to be jogging in the right place at the right time to film them kissing. Once it becomes illogical, I'm not into it anymore.

Yeah and like the mall was full of people and there was no one in that store except the three of them.

You seem to watch too much TV and movies. You seem to think that coincidences are normal.

Sure, it is possible for such coincidences to happen, but not as likely as they do in TV shows and movies.

Yeah, that stretched credibility to the breaking point with me also. But I stuck it out and the rest of the movie was pretty good. After all, a movie is just a fantasy; the players are all actors faking it; and in real life people don't stop to dance, or sing, or make a music video.

The bottom line is that it's all just entertainment. If you're entertained for 100 minutes, then the movie has served its purpose.

Definitely cringe-worthy, I really can't watch that scene. Too awkward.

That was the scene that convinced me to give up on the movie...I wasn't really enjoying it up to there anyway...they have a 27 year-old woman playing the part of a 17 year old?! wtf. Too many stereotypes in the film...nothing new...ho hum.

Yes, she should not have expected privacy in a public place. Yes, the scene was exaggerated and I agree it was inconsistent with the character they gave her. Unfortunately many movies and TV shows are like that and I am sure you are also frustrated about that.

I almost gave up on the movie at the very beginning when the guys say something about banging women .... and something about a helmet. I might have given up but I was a fan of Parenthood so I hung in to give Mae Whitman a chance.

In spite of being an old guy, I knows how smartphone cameras work. If you are close enough to someone to take significant pictures, you are close enough to be seen and recognized, correct? The girl taking pictures made no effort to hide.

That was stupid & stuck out to me in the film. Like you said, it seemed out of character for Bianca. For being so awkward, where did she get the courage to do all that in a store full of people? The movie did not really need the whole Madison leaking the video stuff.

I agree that that was an unfortunate and disappointing turn for the movie to take. Luckily it didn't ruin the movie. I had to turn away it was so embarrassing and cringe inducing.
