This show is like...
This show is like watching the Food channel when you're starving.
Some of these places and their views are amazing.

LOL. I agree. I've only seen one apartment on the show for under $1 million. Most are upwards of $5 million. I stare at the tv salivating at beautiful homes and their views.
shareI guess I'm too country. Looking at other rooftops or buildings is not a view to me. Now the park would be pretty. One the one tonight, they showed a woman who wanted to move back to the city from the country. I was like, 'Are you crazy? To give up that beautiful (and large) home with a gorgeous view and fresh air for a smaller more expensive place with a view of a building?' To visit yes, to live no.
shareI guess it just varies with the individual. I personally find it interesting to watch life move in NYC. It's an engaging feeling to sit back and watch our creations at work.

YES. I was just coming here to post about this! In my case, I'm too California.
I look at those apartments and I know they're fabulous for New York, but all I see is crampy kitchens, no lawns, dogs with no place to run much less have a romp in the surf, insufficient light, weird inconveniently shaped spaces, spikey little furnishings to maximize the space, yuck. The battle of the coasts goes on.
