Disconnect Spoilers!

I didn't like this film because there were so many disconnects: Kaja is quite attractive, but we are told she is ugly. The quartet. The choir...why didn't she go before? Why did the blond wife have sex with Eric? If Eric was homosexual, how did he get it up to have sex with a woman? Did the Eric's son abuse the black child because of the abuse he witnesses toward Kaja that he is encouraged to take part in? Notice how he tells his mother "You are ugly!" Is there discrimination against homosexuals in Sweden?

I got bored.

"The choir...why didn't she go before?"

Because her husband told her she couldn't sing very well. It's also the same reason why she thinks she's ugly.

"Why did the blond wife have sex with Eric?"

Revenge.

"If Eric was homosexual, how did he get it up to have sex with a woman?"

An erection is just a physical reaction, achieved either through physical stimulation, or by fantasizing about something other than what is going on. Ever give yourself goosebumps by thinking about being cold? It's the same thing.

"Did the Eric's son abuse the black child because of the abuse he witnesses toward Kaja that he is encouraged to take part in?"

Possibly, but they had already set up these scenes when they first arrived and he asked the black boy if he "wanted to play slave". I didn't understand if those scenes were intended to be funny (if so, they failed with me) or if they were intended to show the naiveness of the children.

"Is there discrimination against homosexuals in Sweden?"

I'm not Swedish, but it's likely that there are closed minded people in every country on this planet.

I just saw this movie, and what I can say is that maybe you should see it again, and pay attention to the details...
