Jaw-dropping cinematography and locations ?

I am planning to travel in India and I read that the locations and cinematography here is GREAT. Is that so ?

How is the scenery compared to 3 Idiots ? I enjoyed 3 Idiots' locations near the beginning and end of the film very much.

3 idiots are like a cheap student film with newcomers compering to Raavanan.

And if you are talking about mind blowing locations, well this film have a lot of scenes filmed in the south India, never seen footage on films to be honest.
