People keep saying this one is only terrible if you've never watched the original. I'm going to watch this one first and then the original.

So you will spoil the original for yourself. Seems rather pointless and illogical to me but i don't understand why anyone would watch a remake before the original to begin with. 

The original is really hard to watch. Disturbing just for the hell of it. I liked this one better. You get the story without all the hard gore. A very watered down version.

Interesting, I think you're the only person to say you preferred this version.
Really liked the original (rated it 9/10) but can't remember it. I'll watch this one tonight.
