He is so boring when he's surrounded by friends instead of people who hate him like on Top Chef. This show won't last long unless it suddenly brings in some haters and gets interesting.
shareAre you serious? He's managed to piss off everyone that has had interacted with him on this show. Maybe not like on TC for everyone, but he has had arguments to one degree or another.

Just shows that Marcel is not as bad of a guy when he's with his actual friends and people that he gets along with as oppossed to people that aren't his friends like on Top Chef. Shows that Top Chef Marcel is at times an exagerration of how he actually is.
share I think if you want more histrionics and people acting like true jerks so that everyone around them runs to hide or ducks to avoid flying objects, you need to just tune in ANY other chef show. OK, maybe not Eric Ripert's - he's actually confident enough not to strut around the set, acting like he's ready to take on anyone and everyone. But - there are plenty of other cooking shows that will allow you to watch the equivalent of food fights in the kitchen.
Just not this one. Sigh. What can ya do.
