Didn't really like any of the dolls...

Just goes to show how hard it is to make a doll into a real person. The only one that worked for me was the Cleopatra one, mostly because they took off that terrifying rubber mask and made her look basically like a normal person. I also really loved the styling on the snow monster one but the face was just not pretty, same with the water monster one.

On a whole: pretty disappointing. Sucks because I'm a huge fan of Monster High and I would've LOVED if these were out when I was a kid. I hated that no one got Frankie or Ghoulia, though, which would've been pretty interesting to bring to life. The thing is though they're monsters, there's still beauty and a cuteness there that I didn't really get from them. Actually, Cleo was the only one that looked like Cleo. It was mostly a mess.

I guess I'm being too critical given that I am a fan or just none of them produced anything fantastic, which isn't surprising. Also kinda weird there were that many male fans...kinda threw me off even though I know there's a creepy my little pony dude fanbase. I forget what they call themselves: bronies?

You're not too critical, I'm not a fan, never even heard of them and I didn't really like any of them lol. It's almost like they forgot to make them pretty and only played to the monster side of them. The woman from Mattell said she wanted the dolls brought to life, not turned into actual monsters.

I'm afraid I disagree. I'm not overly familiar with the characters. I thought that the fish girl was wonderful. Beautiful, but sufficiently non-human to reflect her father.

The daughter of Dracula was also very cute, though I thought her costume was a bit two Victorian.

The Mummy's daughter was also great, once they removed that appliance.

The others ranged from ok to not very good.

Too many ghouls were left out of selection: Spectra, Jinafire, Operetta, Ghoulia, Honey, Toralei, Viperine,

I liked the werewolf girl the best. I feel she best captured the spunky vibe and was mostly human with a touch of monster. Maybe the tufts of hair were rough but she looked most like the cartoon, to me. She came from the same "world."

The vampire girl would have been better with different clothes...like a short skirt, not a big ballgown. Because I agree with the girl on the panel...we're supposed to be envisioning them in school, not a ball

I know nothing of Monster High but if you had showed the winner to people without referencing Monster High I bet most wouldn't have realized what it was.
It looked nothing like the doll except for the fins on the legs.
