Should have killed DiCaprio's character at the end, he saved the girl from the French by chance, he was still their enemy.

I think he was actually somewhat aligned with the Pawnee...was his wife Pawnee, maybe? Idk.
It was the Ree that were the antagonists.

Glass had a Pawnee wife and his son was half-Pawnee. I think the Pawnee were at war with the Arikara, but they left Glass alone because he helped save the kidnapped girl.
