The Ostrich Odyssey
This rugged and searing frontiersman-adventure which is very well-casted and mounted really feels like an Albert Bierstadt art odyssey or quest for some kind of 'landscape grail' or 'American Dream leviathan.'
In fact, I like watching The Revenant (DiCaprio and Hardy are perfect) as an American land hunt for comic book stylized 'monstrosity mysticism.'

GLASS: We should be wary of real 'killers/hunters.'
FITZGERALD: I just want my damn pelts.
GLASS: It's not just about the fur-trade.
FITZGERALD: It is right now.
GLASS: Well, it won't be tomorrow.
FITZGERALD: I get these pelts, all will be good.
GLASS: What about demons of the hills?
FITZGERALD: America is too untamed for 'quests,' Glass!
GLASS: I feel you may betray me, Fitzgerald.
FITZGERALD: Just help me collect my pelts.
GLASS: There's a dragon out here.
FITZGERALD: You're starting to hawk me, Glass.
GLASS: I'm going to find a real samurai on the edge of this big land!
