I was expecting action, I get ... this?
OK, you've got a movie starring one of the top 'bad guys' in wrestling as your main star - and it involves bank robbing and some bad guys out for revenge - I was expecting an all out action/thriller - and what do I get? A PG-13 Rated comedy? WHAT?
OK, I know that Vince (McMahon, the owner of The WWF and Triple H's father-in-law) is going all-out for the PG-13 rating (both in movies AND in wrestling) but is he sure that Triple H is the right person for it? I can see The Rock, Roddy Piper, (who, in his prime, would have been AWESOME in this role!) or even Cena in this role - but Triple H? He can excel as a baddie or someone with grey shades to his character but this movie seems too light-hearted for him. He looked out of place in certain scenes in the trailer (and I'm NOT talking about his lack of acting experience) he just seemed miscast.
Strangely enough, the ONE WWE guy who I think would do really well in a dramatic role in a motion picture - CM Punk is rarely mentioned with regards to a movie role. I mean, has anyone checked out his promos lately? He's fab on the mike, has tons of charisma and generates intensity, whether as a good OR bad guy.....
