I was expecting action, I get ... this?

OK, you've got a movie starring one of the top 'bad guys' in wrestling as your main star - and it involves bank robbing and some bad guys out for revenge - I was expecting an all out action/thriller - and what do I get? A PG-13 Rated comedy? WHAT?

OK, I know that Vince (McMahon, the owner of The WWF and Triple H's father-in-law) is going all-out for the PG-13 rating (both in movies AND in wrestling) but is he sure that Triple H is the right person for it? I can see The Rock, Roddy Piper, (who, in his prime, would have been AWESOME in this role!) or even Cena in this role - but Triple H? He can excel as a baddie or someone with grey shades to his character but this movie seems too light-hearted for him. He looked out of place in certain scenes in the trailer (and I'm NOT talking about his lack of acting experience) he just seemed miscast.

Strangely enough, the ONE WWE guy who I think would do really well in a dramatic role in a motion picture - CM Punk is rarely mentioned with regards to a movie role. I mean, has anyone checked out his promos lately? He's fab on the mike, has tons of charisma and generates intensity, whether as a good OR bad guy.....

Yeah I wasn't impressed with the trailer either, when I read about the synopsis I thought since it mentioned he was chaperoning his daughter's field trip that she was 17 0r 18 not 14 and that he scared the *beep* out of the kids being an ex con, not this Triple H acting friendly, I'm the tour guide as well its obvious its a kids movie plus the kids have to act like they're the next Spy kids at some point of the trailer and the stupid jokes that are in all kids movies that aren't even funny like "if you make a noise or even look at me cross eyed I will shoot your old man and shoot you right in front of him
That doesn't make any sense" I get it, its so funny you're saying you're going to kill her with her dad watching after you just said he'd be the first to die, I mean this is what Triple H does after Blade Trinity, even The Rock didn't do kids movies first, he did Welcome to the jungle, walking tall then he did his Disney crap and when did WWE Studios start making kids movies, not a single WWE studios movie Cena has been in is a kids movie The Marine, 12 Rounds, Legendary, I didn't even know they did kids movies, stop selling out for the kids

I thought this would've been something I watch in 2011 and then I saw the trailer, I ain't watching it anymore

You were expecting 'action' simply because a pro wrestler's name (and face) is in the title?

Cliche'

This movie showed HHH has a normal, human side to him. And, in a Parent role, no less. No - it isn't an "action film". It's a mid range comedy.

It has it's low-scale, bad-guy moments alongside it's PG-13 middle school ones.

If you want an Action film, there are a bazillion other movie titles to choose from (no sarcasm noted)

Just appreciate this movie for what it is. And commend HHH for a decently delivered performance.

Honestly this movie is a lot better then I expected. Is it Citizen Kane? No, but I actually enjoyed this movie, even though the plot was formulaic and the acting in parts was stiff.
