Kindergarten Cop had a some what believable plot, some really good acting and was funny for adults and kids.

Yeah, it's the same thing. The tough guy action kiddie comedy has been done to death since then. Hulk Hogan did a bunch back when before he sunk to reality show 'fame.' The of course there was that crappy Vin Diesel vehicle The Pacifier, and Jackie Chan did something similar recently to. Kindergarten Cop was no masterpiece, but it was perfectly decent and the best of it's kind. These knock offs keep getting worse it seems.

Or Alien movies have been done to death. Ocean fairing movies anyone? How about princess movies being done to death? And fairy tales.
