DON'T watch this with your kids

There is just way too much sexuality in this movie for kids to be watching it. a guy humping the air towards a girl, a "robot" chicken humping a car and a guy gropeing a girls boob for way too long as she closes her eyes and seems to enjoy it, and a girl wakeing up next to a guy after the party on the couch obviously suggesting sex followed by a make out session. is this what you want your kids exposed to? i sure as hell dont. i cant count how many times i wanted to turn this movie off.

actualy its rated just PG in the family section of my VOD. dont come into my thread and start lipping off, im not the only one that feels this way about this movie. if you would sit down with your 13 year olds and watch this with them, then you are obviously the one lacking parental skills.

Do you honestly think a 13-year-old hasn't seen worse? It's not like you were showing this to 9-year-olds. They're young teenagers.

Dear Sir:

This particular post actually made me LOL, which is rare, since like many others the internets have made me jaded and set the LOL meter pretty high.

I now picture this thread as a sovereign nation, not under any type of first amendment jurisdiction, but rather a sole dicktatorship (that might be a spelling error. Or it might not. My spell check doesn’t always work).

The irony of your posts amuse me. And make me LOL.

Thank you, your eminence. (Wait, do I capitalize the "e" on eminence? Or does one only capitalize it if it's supposed to be a measure of respect? If it is capitalized as a token of ones respect, then I got it right the first time around)

reply

Oh no, airhumping. Bring the banhammer.

reply

Yeah, this is a teen comedy, hence the rating. Blame your VOD service.

Toyotawarrior,
I'm with you. I wouldn't watch this with 15-year-old. In the UK, it's rated "12 and over". That's a disgrace.

Ref: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1663143/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg#certification.

Thankfully, the film cost $14m to make, and only made $9m back at the box office: there aren't enough savages around to make such dumbing-down tripe worthwhile. (Although, in fairness, it's the marketing/rating to which I object the more, and less so the film itself.)

Ah the Uk where even adults cannot watch adult movies.

Such a shame. Now get away from the internet because you might see something you cannot unsee.

And to all who see movies like this with their kids : you are crazy, why would you want to watch crap just because your kids want to?Let them watch by themself lol.

Its not your thread, its a thread on imdb... Unless it is in a email, IM, txt just consider anything you post online the equivilant of you going to a crowded mall and screaming it out for everyone to hear. After its posted everyone has the right to comment, respond, and tear it apart, especially stupid *beep* and we 100% will.

Even so, that means Parental Guidance. It doesn't mean let your kids watch it it means be a responsible parent, research the film and look at reviews and other information and make a judgement call based on the maturity of your kids.

OP, try these sites instead rather than that one yo mentioned.

http://blog.beliefnet.com/moviemom/

And I don't know how you got that far without knowing this was PG-13. From the moment the boyfriend grabs the mom and starts doing her on the counter, I knew I had to check the rating.

I'm no prude and my favorite films probably have 1000 f-bombs between them, but they should be ashamed of themselves for marketing this to the nickelodeon crowd (8-11 year olds). This is a teen nick movie at the least especially considering the S-bombs.

Really? And how exactly did you HAVE kids? Did the stork deliver them? If you're not slowly exposing your kids to this stuff now then don't expect to have any grandkids in the future.

reply

Thanks for the post. I don't know why people are knocking you! If people like you didn't post an honest opinion how would other parents look this stuff up?

reply

Saying "Don't watch this with your kids" isn't an opinion. It's a command.

And everyone is "knocking" the OP because he/she is espousing incorrect information about the film's rating and doing it in a totally condescending way.

reply

It's PG-13. What did you expect?

MovieKid100's mom is a prostitute. One Direction sucks. You're Next failed. What else is new?

reply

For kids under the age of ten, ok. I get your point. But kids over the age of 10, sure, let them watch it. Sooner or later they are gonna see a hell of a lot more ;)
