Reunion was much better.

Seriously, 2000 seems like it was just yesterday.

I'm still waiting to hear "Bye Bye Bye" and "Oops I Did It Again" in the background.

I dunno about that. I really really liked Reunion but even I have to admit the acting was shoddy at times and it was a little cheesy as well.

Agreed, Reunion was better, The Class was better, a test pattern would be better...

I agree Reunion was better the acting in the few episodes wasn't too great. Reunion wasn't as cheesy as My Generation was. I did like some things about My Generation but thinking back Reunion was an ok show and it sucks that it got canned too early.

I think the reason why I liked Reunion better is because it was a murder mystery which kept it suspenseful. I was angry we weren't really able to see who did it.

As for My Generation, to me, the characters felt forced and stereotypical. Yes, people go through what these people go through on a daily basis, but it seemed all too scripted and fake.

I liked murder mystery angle on Reunion. The producers of that show did reveal their plans for the killer in interviews. But I hated that we never saw how it happened.

I agree the characters on My Generation were too forced and stereotypical. The characters on Reunion were only stereotypical in the first episode but with each episode they developed more and more.

@glassrose: What was the plan they ended with (in Reunion)?

I'm surprised it wasn't popular. it had a mix of teen drama, nostaglia, and murder mystery in it. It's kinda like Pretty Little Liars, and yet PLL has become a hit, so why not Reunion?

But lifeguardfan, i guess in oct 2006, the creator explained what the ending would have been:
Sam was the one who ended up dying, so everybody was trying to cover their tracks. [The shooter] was supposed to be her daughter, who later down the road would have come to work for Carla. She [Carla] tries to get them reconciled, but someone breaks into the apartment of Craig Brewster, while Sam was there with her daughter. In a struggle with this intruder, Amy accidentally shot Sam.
When the 13th episode aired on the SBT channel in Brazil, additional information had been added. A narrator explained that an adult Amy, angry over being abandoned as an infant and being abused by her adopted father, accidentally shoots and kills Samantha. Will and Craig call Craig’s high-powered dad, Russell (Gregory Harrison), for help. The big twist is that, when Russell arrives, he discovers that Samantha is still breathing and secretly suffocates her because of Sam’s earlier affair with Will. His crime is eventually discovered and he’s brought to justice. Dave Annable verified the events of this ending in October 2006.

@LooseControl21: Thanks for all that info! So great to finally know. Did they ever say why Craig was in a wheelchair? I forget.

I think he was faking being in a wheelchair actually lol I remember watching an episode where he's out of his wheelchair and walking normally, and i think he was using it for sympathy votes on his political presidency.

reply

OH YEAH! I do remember that as well. Gah I wish that show lasted!
