Could very much be a mediocre Coens' film.

I enjoyed the film, and these Coen brothers similarities weren't without notice:

Malkovich: Burn After Reading
Billy Bob: Intolerable Cruelty, Fargo TV series, The Man Who Wasn't There, Bad Santa
Large Native American: Fargo
Michael Stuhlbarg (Derby Milton): A Serious Man
Oliver Platt: Fargo TV series

You could probably pick apart many films this way, but this one had a very Coen Bros vibe to it. Anyone agree?

Edit: Apparently several people noticed this similarity.

I had to check the credits to make sure it was not the Coen Bros.! Great movie. To low a score. Hope people will search it out or word of mouth will get it seen. Never get tired of Bruce Dern.

Plus, the director helmed a few episodes of the Fargo TV series.
