The little kid?

Am I the only one who found the little kid to be very annoying. I understand that the intent was to make the audience like him and feel sympathy for him which is why they said he was autistic but I couldn’t stand him.

I hated his high pitched voice. Then the scene where he takes the car keys and decides to drive the vehicle had me completely baffled. I don’t understand as to why he would do that. In reality no child would realistically try that.
