Excellent movie

No it's not winning any oscars but it's a fun movie simple as that. Yes it's a cliche plot but it's a fun spoof to rocky with the punching the meat (that's unhygienic you don't have to punch everything) to the eye injury (at least you won't have to cut me) it had a nice story with the romance and 2 people just wanting to show they can still go even at their age.

I love Kevin hart I think he's great in this movie and has great lines like when he's arguing with lightning "oh your not even going to walk off in a dramatic fashion you're just going to walk away slowly"

The end fight is also touching yes neither of them are obviously great boxers but it's more the story in the fight. With kid helping him up when he knows he's blinde because he just wants to beat him at his best and then razor helps him up out of respect.

I always found kid was more the unlikeable villain but not in the clubber Lang or Ivan drago kind more like appolo to me. Yeah he's a loud mouth and did stupid stuff but he's just a guy who wants that third fight and get his relationship with his kid. So personally I wanted razor to win but it was nice to have 2 basically good guys and not have Stallone as the hero and de Niro as the villain.
The scene that really made me feel sory for kid was after razor cancelled the fight and he was begging him to fight. He didnt care about the money like razor which was why he took it he just wants to redeem himself from their second fight where he didnt train. He just wants to show the world they can still work. Through the whole movie he'd been insulted more than razor. People made fun of his weight or his age. The guy who ran the gym thought he was a joke. Normally kid just argued back but with that confrontation with razor showed to me that all that hurts and he wants to show the world who they are.

Also my favourite line in the movie
Sally: no matter how hard you both work you're not going to be your best
Razor: it's the best we've got

That's a great line because loads of people worry when starting a sport boxing or anything that they'll suck and won't be great but as long as they give their all that's all that matters.

I personally love this film I don't care if it's cliche or corny or a rip off to me it's a great inspirring film
