The shoes doesn't disappear like the other magic items??
shareBecause the fairy godmother said that at midnight everything will return to what it once was. The shoes weren't created from her old shoes, they were made brand new just for her. So they never were going to turn back into anything. Theyre new.. and magic.

But wouldn't they just vanish, then? They were created from thin air, magically, so shouldn't they return to air? Or maybe I'm over thinking it....?
shareWhen I was a kid, I always thought the slippers stayed after Midnight because the Fairy Godmother let Cinderella keep them as a memory. That's why she would look up and said 'thank you' to her.
Of course, now that I am older I can see how that is a problem. It just never bothered me and I actually get more bothered when people try to over explain their existence in the more modern adaptations.
If I were to make up an answer, my head canon is that since the shoes got separated from each other, they kinda got stuck here and couldn't revert back, haha.
