It seems like she is the type who has chased after material possessions/financial success her whole life...it was an attempt to fill some kind of void...but now she has material possessions/financial success but still doesn't seem happy...so right now she is at a loss
Her story was on E True Hollywood and apparently she spent most of her life chasing after *fame* in different forms....acting, modeling, business in baking, health, Martha Stewart, etc....
I can see Borderline, due to the family dynamics, she's moody, sexually provocative, sets people up to knock them down, self-mutilates via her weight, etc. Also, she's got the jewish narcissist/sociopath thing going on with their worship of money, position, making crap products, and so on.
As I've said before Vampires are clever analogies for these type of people. Also, the idea, popular on the net, of Lizardmen disguised as human serves the same purpose. Bethany is a vampire and I'm sure she knows it.
Did you notice how happy and excited she got when the shrink was agreeing with everything she said and telling her exactly what she wanted to hear and stroking her ego. Her eyes got as big as saucers and she was grinning from ear to ear. What a quack that shrink is.
I agree with the OP and I think you hit the nail on the head. She also suffers from a feeling of emptiness or if that seems too extreme, dissatisfaction with everything. When you chase shallow and material things they only fulfill for a few short minutes. Hence the reason she can't stop working and never feels she has enough. She also performs in the show, and no one else can be the center of attention.

Please don't add this misguided and completely inaccurate statement to your Psych 101 profile of the witch known as Bethenny. Just because she comes from Jewish heritage does not make her a Jewish person. There is no narcissistic/sociopath gene in the Jewish makeup; Jewish people do not "make crap products" as part of their makeup. Don't talk out of your a** to make a point that you can easily make without that.
Thank you for attempting to set that poster straight. What an ignorant, racist crappy thing for him or her to say and someone needed to call him out for spouting off such nonsense. Yuck!
I can deal with a lot of garbage, but after awhile, you just have to say something. Whether it's about my religion or someone else's race or just simply people's feelings. I guess we're all bad enough when criticizing the "stars" of these reality shows as it is - there is no reason to make those kinds of bigoted generalizations!

Funniest post I've read all day! You blow a gasket at what you perceive to be anti-semitic remarks, but it's okay for you to call Bethenny a witch. I think both you and the other poster are talking out of your backsides.

Blowing a gasket about Anti-Semitism? Are you Mel Gibson's publicist?
There is a difference between calling someone nasty and making an erroneous and generalized/stereotypical remark. I guess that distinction is lost on you. Unless, that is, you are from the witch's defamation league and don't like anyone ascribing traits from that of your religious persuasion. I apologize to the Witch's Anti-Defamation League.
Being a witch (in this context of calling Bethenny one) has nothing to do with the Wiccan faith. People need to stop confusing one thing with the other.
