Any big city, anywhere in the world, has big city problems, including mean streets, a criminal class, drug addiction etc.

You obviously haven't had the pleasure of visiting kings cross in Sydney where this film is set!

Well I think that Australia is actually one of the nicest countries on earth. Every country has its crime, low-lifes, scum etc, but I really believe that where I live anyway (Brisbane) is a great place to live. Although someone about 2 kilometres from where I live was murdered a few weeks ago

So what's your alibi?

We got a job.

The fact that the murderer was caught a few weeks after I posted the message

Let somebody else take the fall, eh?

If they could only speak proper English. 

Not all of us talk like crocodile Dundee

Kings Cross was great. That's what gave the film it's atmosphere. The sounds, bright lights, the people. If you have never visited a big city at night then this might be a shock to your senses.

As an aussie myself..Sydney can be it rough as....stick to the regional country areas.

reply

Avoid the Wollongong region..i lived there for 30 years, its dirty and run-dowm in areas and the history of horrific murders that happened in that region...don't p*** off the locals! Very corrupted place within the councils...not a pleasant place at all.
And as for Sydney...my sister was cop/detective in the NSW POLICE for 26 years and she always told how violent and cold that city is...real snobby too!
