Panther last scene?

The movie doesn't go into what happened to that awful man that slashed Jewess face.

The panther goes into the room and the door is closed. Does the panther slash him? The movie doesn't go into further detail.

I don't understand why this man was never arrested for doing this to the girl.

I interpreted it all as Madeline's dream of revenge. I don't think the guy who hurt her ever really came back. Note the last shot of her sitting by the bed with white tears, which is what happened in the dream she described to her attacker before he tied her up and cut her. So if the scene of her sitting there crying is a dream, I think her attacker being locked in a room with a cat (that was pretty docile up until that point) is part of the dream as well.

Her dream has changed. The element of revenge has been added due to what happened to her.

I seriously doubt her attacker would ever return to that place.

This man was never arrested because money talks and she was a prostitute. Is it right? no, but it was the turn of the century.

There were lots of things in this movie that they left to the imagination. One being the panther at the end. The whole last 10 minutes was crazy.

Many girls spoke about being bought, or that a John would pay their debts. Well, towards the end, when some of the girls were sold to other houses, and some were off on their own, Samira was the only one i noticed whose debts had been payed for by a john (with the jewel). Granted that was all imagery, but it was a key item in The Jewess dream.

So you have this beautiful woman, possibly the cream of the crop considering her debts were paid, walking up the stairs with a masked man. (the guy in the dream was masked). It is Bastille day. We know that this guy likes to cut things and The Jewess is doing some major flashbacks. During a conversation at the same time, two prostitutes are talking about the fireworks, and one mentions something about beheading.

By this point, im thinking oh please no, not Samira. I kept looking at the guys hair to see if i noticed if it were him. Once she said she wanted champagne and left the room i was like ok good stay out. THats when i saw the leather thingy on his fingers and he removed the mask (OMG).

The docile panther acts sort of as a guard dog. It is docile, but the fireworks are making him unsteady. I also believe that it will protect the ladies if need be. Panther is let into the room, door locks and you see the girls watching from outside of the room.. ALL of them with large smiles painted on their face.

The paint, and then the following white tears makes me believe that it was all part of another dream. However, many aspects of her previous dream did come true in little ways. I can only hope that this guy got what he deserved.

However, if it wasnt all a dream, he could have easily gotten into the house since it was a masquerade, but even then, i would think the madam would check faces before letting the men enter.

I didnt care to watch this movie a second time, but i might have to now.
