Why do I like this movie so much?
Why did it flop so badly?
Why do we almost definitely miss out on more similar movies from the director?
Will the world ever get over the loss?

I can't explain why I like it. I feel I get a little peek into the unfinished single-minded thoughts of the soldiers: sex, misogyny, misogynistic sex, alcohol, violence and when they are lucky they have one implanted memory that drives them.

The visuals are like being subjected to a toned-down version of a MKULTRA experiment :D

Probably because the film deviated so much from the from the general idea of the original movie, not that it was a mega-hit anyway.
