This is the best 'made-for-TV movie I've ever seen

The acting was WAY above any made-for-TV movie that I've ever seen. The main three characters--the widow, the main boy, and the cop--are played by actors who have such a natural chemistry between them that it was as good of a casting job as I've seen since the last Scorsese film.
It would have been so easy for them to play up the schmaltzy tear-jerking tragedy pap that makes up so many of these "based on a true story" dramas, but they really rose way above that and made the characters real(which they are). I was amazed and completely surprised by the quality of this film.

Agreed. I love this movie <3 The end had me crying, and I watched it a second time and still bawled my eyes out! Especially when Katie is showing Ryan the pictures of her kids...you can see all the hurt and guilt Ryan's feeling.

Gus: “I believe it’s called a tweet.”
Shawn: “There’s no way I’m saying that.”

I think that this a really good drama. It really had me thinking what I would do in a situation like this. I gasped at the $10,000 reward money to get teenagers to tell the truth.
