Where was her attorney?

I know that is a film and that "dramatic tension" must be maintained, but where was her attorney? Does due process not exist in films?

Bad films are a crime against humanity.

If you follow what her character has done and is doing, she clearly wouldn't want an attorney - it's clearly stated that she let herself be the unspoken martyr so that the agency could continue to do what it does. That's why she said she killed the kids; otherwise, they may go looking for them.

So yeah... she wouldn't want an attorney because she wasn't looking to be found innocent.
