One of the worst films I have ever seen.

Horrendous script, poor character development, mediocre cinematography, and atrocious acting. It's such a poor film that I'm actually struggling to articulate so.

Avoid.

still better then that boring lame tedious all dialogue True Grits which I didnt enjoy for a second.

I just read one of the reviews for the film, and my assumptious mind already tells me this isn't a film that's aimed at me.

"They acting in the film was spot on and for a budget of around 1,000,000 dollars or whatever currency it is that is pretty well made"

This reviewer was also from the UK, just like the film... he also comments about him being the only one in the cinema at the time of watching it, which isn't a good indication. He also "rants" about how older viewers can't watch it because of "flab over their eyes" or something ridiculous.

Although, I don't feel right criticising the film so I won't until I see it, even if this idiotic reviewer has completely shot himself in the foot. Who knows? It may be a fun popcorn flick or, as they say, a "guilty pleasure."

I doubt I'll be watching it in cinemas, but if a friend bought it on DVD, or if somebody I know rented it and invited me to watch it, I wouldn't say no, even if preconceptions are brewing.

reply

completely agree with you. Definetely one of the worst films ever.

reply

Its like the UK version of a Jason Friedberg, Aaron Seltzer movie and theyre movies are REALLY the worst movies ever made.

reply

atrocious piece of garbage, candidate for worst of 2011

It could have done with subtitles in places but i quite liked it.

reply

it made me laugh, and i quite liked it, it was quite hard to understand at times and i would have preferred subtitles

i knew what to expect going into this movie and i got just what i expected

reply

i found it pretty entertaining, had some good laughs. what did u expect from a low-budget ?

reply

Some of the greatest films ever had a smaller budget than this, money doesn't make a film.

f/o it's understandable.

reply

You fuuk off. Just because you love Chavvy films doesn't mean you should pop at me. It's not my fault.

"Time to find out..."

reply

The people depicted in this film are not chavs, and the fact that you would call them so definitely shows me you have no understanding of the audience this was intended for. They could be called street rats, hoodlums, maybe even that dreaded word "ghetto" maybe, but not chavs.

You didn't like the film. Fair enough. Doesn't mean you have a right to criticise everybody who did.

reply

I live in England. They're Chavs.

"Time to find out..."

reply

I live in England too. South London funnily enough. I see kids like the ones depicted in this film every single day. But all right, Dave. You think it, so it must obviously be true. Everyone who wears tracksuits and talks with a dialect is obviously a Chav. *rollseyes*

reply

They abuse the English language. Not all wear just tracksuits, but yeah, they're Chavs

The OP is a retard. poor character development, mediocre cinematography, Seriously? It wasn't amazing and I can understand if someone didn't like it, but at least don't try and talk about "character development" and "mediocre cinematography" when you don't know *beep*. I could say the character development was sufficient. The cinematography was fine and definitely better than some movies with far more bigger budgets.

The script was fine. The acting was pretty bad, but some did shine. This movie is aimed at a specific audience due to the high level of British cultural jokes and just like Little Britain, most of you will not fully understand it. Some of the personalities and characters are very similar to real life people and to add a slight unrealistic layer to the movie for comedic value they do over-act it or they're simply not good at it and couldn't really play it off well.

Either way, this movie wasn't that bad, stick to things you can actually judge.

reply

I agree. I saw this a few days ago and enjoyed it. I'm always interested in movies with Adam Deacon, Ashley Walters and Noel Clarke just so I can hear British slang lol.

reply

its all about the money and this made lots.expect another one will be made soon.

reply

You have absolutely no idea what you're wibbling about. Find me just one critic (of merit, not some *beep* (like the folks at Zoo, NUTS etc) that states this film is good, and I will eat my hat.

The critics despise this film. The populace despise this film (just look at the rating). You're clearly one of the cretins involved in the financing or production of this film, for I have no idea why else my post would illicit such an acerbic response.

The film is complete *beep* Deal with it.

reply

I didn't think that it was brilliant or anything, but it was amusing in places. Could it have been better? Yeah, sure it could. That said I've seen films a lot worse than this. I gave it 5/10.
