Why does this film get such a bad rep?

i really like it and everyone i know who ive spoke to about it likes it.Ive got to thinking maybe its because of who/the culture it represents.

Yep, i loved it, actually a really intelligent representation of what some people are really like

It got a bad rep because it's aimed at a really niche audience imo.
If you don't know people like the characters you won't find much humor in this so it's leans towards the younger people in places such as the one in the film... Also the slang, accents and the culture it's portraying is a big turn off for most people and tbh even for me it got annoying at points but that's just the OTT nature of the film...

I liked it. It was funny and, in places, sharply observed. It was better than many similar products and certainly refreshingly different from the 'Coming-of Age' comedies that get routinely churned out by the US film makers to exploit the teen market. I'm a middle aged white man in rural Lincolnshire, about as far removed from the film's setting and cultural context as you could get, but I still enjoyed it and was able to appreciate it for what it was trying to do. Some of the negative comment on here is undeserved.
