Would Cage be so adept at using cell/smart phones?

He's in prison for 10 years, is out an hour, pulls a smart phone out of an envelope & immediately answer it.

Then he's comfortable enough with a new cell phone to assemble it (with a magically fully charged battery) & set up call forwarding to it from his smartphone.

This is a flaw, right? I'm not just being pissy? I've had to teach my parents how to answer their GD phones & messages so many times I just can't see it.

He loved reading cellphone technical pamphlets in jail.

Yeah, I enjoyed the flick, but tying in to what you wrote, it's weird how he can be so skilled with using cell phones, and then yet, not knowing what a GPS is (in the scene with the cab driver).

He probably used a cell phone in prison . Not to far fetched since I personally know of people who snuck in cell phones while they had to go to prison

No.

For one, it's not a documentary about real-world cell phones.

But even if it were, it doesn't give you any reason to believe that he wouldn't know how to use smart phones upon his release from prison. It also doesn't give you any reason to believe that he couldn't purchase a cell phone that's already charged.

Nevertheless, it's not a documentary. Films like this are necessarily set in fictional worlds. "Fictional", by the way, is not the same thing as fantasy is the narrow literary genre sense of that term.

All phones come with pre charged batteries.

I ordered a new phone and the battery was in the package. All I had to do was plug it in and it showed 95% charge
