As good as his movies are these days

I like Nicholas Cage and he's made several entertaining movies over the years. I like his Rock, Con Air and the National Treasure series. Too bad they're not continuing it anymore...

He was also good in Sorcerers Apprentice, Lord of War and a few recent ones like Knowing, Bangkok Dangerous.

Thus I added this to my Netflix Q and watched it.

Overall, it is a through and through American Hollywood movie. Nothing significant about anything in the movie, you ease your mind and just watch through. No need to remember anything after it is done or why this or why that.
Just let the 90 mins go by...

Nic Cage acted as he does. The movie cops acted like they do mostly - stupid. The blonde bimbo, token henchmen, token baddie etc. rounded it off.
The direction is of someone using this as a stepping stool in the hopes of learning something. It is all overall something everyone knows everyone will forget about - a paycheck movie, a rite of passage movie to pad your career or to use it as people use a cheap magazine to pass the time at a hair saloon.

Final rating: 6/10
