I got to see BRINGING UP BOBBY and really enjoyed it. It was also the first movie, I guess, I had seen with Milla Jovovich, or at least took notice; I thought she gave a very fine performance. Last week, I saw the movie, STONE, and realized she was in that. boy, did I realize she was in that. STONE obviously showed me something that I was not aware of in BOBBY.
I was really thinking how would she do playing a mother. Here it is and I am intrigued to see the film.

This is the first Milla Jovovich performance that I have really enjoyed (ok maybe her role in the Fifth Element as well). I find that she is very over the top and stilted usually, but in this role, that style worked because Olive is always putting on an act for others. I thought she was surprisingly good.
