Why is a cuban playing a white person

Don't make no sense

reply

She might be Cuban, but she's white.

reply

But she's not American, which makes it cultural appropriation.

reply

I don't think 'cultural appropriation' extends to skin colour (unless maybe you're in 'blackface', or 'whiteface', which as far as I know, Ana de Armas isn't).

reply

I don't think it should either, but that's the way it works for white people who play anything but white characters. My comment was a snide and sarcastic one, not one of disagreement.

reply

Not really,

White Americans play White Brits all the time

Black Brits play Black Americans all the time

This time, a White Cuban is playing a White American.

Thanks for playing.

reply

FACT: Cultural appropriation does not exist. Prove me wrong.

reply

I shan't because I agree. But, if it does exist as defined by the grievance industry, that definition isn't being applied consistently across all races.

reply

A lot of Cubans are White, as she is.

reply

maybe because her skin is white

reply

What color is a Cuban supposed to be?

reply

I think Cubans come in all the standard colors.

reply

We still haven't seen a white Shaka Zulu, and our culture is less rich, on account of this omission

reply

John Leguizamo should protest this but I doubt he does. His racism seems to only go one way.

reply

Only Wokies claim Latinos aren't white!

reply

Latinos are white?

That means they are white supremacists, too?

AOC will be heartbroken.

reply

Some of them are White, some of them a Black, some of the are Mestizos.

Latino isn't a race.

Thanks for playing.

reply

Marilyn Monroe was black

reply

Cubans and Spaniards are white but some see a tanned white person and automatically think marginalised person of colour.

reply

Only a racist leftist thinks that.
