Audrey Tautou

What a skilled actor she is. In this film she is a broken and unhappy woman who's marriage was one of convenience and economics, joining acres of land together. In Amelia she was a naive and fun filled girl who wanted only happiness for others. And, in A Very Long Engagement she is a woman frantically searching for answers to her fiance's disappearance while away at war during WWI. Regardless of the character she plays Tautou is a master in acting from romantic comedy like Delicacy and Priceless to drama such as Dirty Pretty Things. Even the dismal The DaVinci Code was somewhat salvaged by her. Whether her character is good or bad she is a delight to watch.
