Was this a major release or a made for tv movie?

I saw this movie on netflix and was pleasently surprised. It had a great cast of well knowns and the acting was good to great.

I'm not sure why netflix has it rated as 'R"? I was hoping for some "R" rated content after seeing all the beautiful women in the movie (LOL). However, this movie could definitley play on network tv without much editing if at all. Anyone know if it was a made for tv movie or a studio release?
