I think they portrayed the waiter over the top. Unless the waiter is a complete jerk, he/she is not going to correct a patron on EVERY FREAKING THING. Granted Zane was a little uneducated about some things, but he was polite and was on a date, while the waiter was an ass. I just felt sorry for Zane, at least at that point in the movie. Anyone agree or disagree?

shareThat scene was funny as hell. It cracks me up every time I watch it. The waiter was cool, until Zane mispronounced "escargot". Zane ask him, "what is this, es car got" and the waiter, looking confused at first, then suddenly realizing what he was referring to, just casually said the word correctly, more so to clear up his own confusion. Afterward, Zane took offense and kept making a fool of himself. The waiter was just subtly pointing it out. He really didn't do anything but look at him, like as he continued to make a fool out of himself.
