Is it worth bothering with series 2?

Just watched the first series on dvd (no Sky) and despite an excellent cast and locations ended up disappointed. I kept expecting some twist or revelation would fill in all the plot holes but nothing happened.

So many questions: if someone wants to know where a boat with millions of pounds of drugs on it is, why does he kill the person who moved it? And then leave all the other people who might know alone? Who leaves millions of pounds worth of drugs on an unattended boat anyway? How come the drug dealers can find the boat if no-one else can? Why do the bad guys and the police watch the "dogs" like hawks then conveniently bugger off every time they want to shift some money or a body around?

This could have been so much better if someone had spent an afternoon rewriting the script so it made a bit of sense. Or at least kept things moving fast enough so you didn't have time to question everything.

Does series 2 get any better, or does it just go from set piece to set piece with lots of bickering in between? I get the feeling the real "heist" here was the actors getting the money off Sky and having a free holiday in Majorca.

Actually, series 2 slows the action to a crawl and has no resolution, so it's like four hours of treading water with a few minutes of interest now and then. If you like Season 1, then you will probably be disappointed in Season 2, and if you don't like Season 1, then you should stop torturing yourself or maybe watch the first 20 minutes of Season 2 and know that after that point, it's just another island and a lot of running around. Nice vacation for the actors, though.
