I Feel Like I've Been Gut Punched

I've watched this series for years now, caring for the characters and watching it all the way through regardless of how silly the plot got at times but that ending....I mean really, thats it the big bad guy won and kills them.

I just hate the fact that we always get this sense that they are going have a massive shoot out or something, guys with nothing else to loose and then they pull back at the last minute.

The two episodes should of never featured Baxters daughters wedding untill the end, thats what their goal should of been. The ending would see them finally getting back to England, a goal which has been for all of them since season 1.

That CIA guy in the wheelchair should of still been after then as soon as they got off the helicopter after season 3. They should of had a shootout with them since as I've said with the current situation they are tired and have nothing to loose. I mean sure if you wanted to kill one person off fine during this fine but the ending should of been them, bruised, worn out and hurt walking towards the airport to get back home.

Hell even if they...Oh I don't know, kept the same scene of the beach but when they were taking weapons at Quins home one of them picked up a Grenade (a plot point you would forget about untill the end) and then one of them would of pulled the pin and chucked it at the CIA guy while they all throw themselves into the graves for cover....you know something like that, something where you forget about a small plot point which will be their saviour in the end.

The whole thing just seemed rushed in my opinion....maybe they should of had 4 episodes rather then two.

To be honest i thought the ending was a good one.the one thing i didn't want was some shoot out were afterwards they all lived happily ever after.
they were ordinary guys who were in well over their heads.Thought the ending was a realistic one to what wold really have happened.

Thats what i like about british shows. They are not predictable like american ones.

I always assumed they would die at the end, it's the only way the show could work. So I liked the last 5 minutes are so, but I didn't like the rest of the epiosde.
