How can anyone on this movie even agree to go with it?

You know what really kills it for me with this crap.. Not that it's the usually boring and dumb typical Sci-Fi Channel movies. But come on, I get the pour liquor to kill the bacteria thing, but pouring liquor to "PUT OUT" the fire???? Were they all drunk and high?????
