Two questions

There is one scene, where Patrick wants to buy a car. After discovering, the car-seller is a jew he sings a song. There were no subtitles, so what's the history and the meaning of this song and why is the car-seller so offended?

Also in this scene Patrick yells something about no country and no language. Is he pretending to be Irish just because of his red hair? He is obviously French regarding his perfect speaking, so why he bother?

There was subtitles for the singing on the version of the dvd I watched. I can't remember exactly what he said. But it was something derogatory about the guy being a Jew. And something to do with the car. Maybe something about him being a slimy jew in a 1980's sports car.

And when he was saying no country, no language; I think he was referring to gingers like they're a persecuted race. Because gingers don't have their own country or language.

The song is actually his own cover of the song "être une femme" by Michel Sardou. The lyrics say "Femme des années 80", but Patrick (Vincent Cassel) replaced "Women" by "Jews".

When he says about being oppressed, without country or army, I'm pretty much sure he talks about redheads, in comparison to jews. This is my understanding.

And yeah, it's been a year...
