Advance Screening :D

Hiya gents! Dear Vincent was kind enough to give an advance screening of this little gem a year or so ago as the finale to our university's 'Kubrick Week' (which he and Jan Harlan attended for 'Full Metal Jacket'), And the film is absolutely hysterical and doesn't even seem to take itself seriously until the final 10 minutes or so, and even the final scene has comedic vibes. There is nothing deep about the violence or is reasoning, its a cloaked figure who picks the kids off one by one (or 2) while the rest sit around a camp fire and sing terrible songs and get angry at each other. For its average horror movie length it still felt like ages to get through, its no classic, its not revolutionary or bold or daring or anything, its as if they were all sitting around a table and someone said "how bout...................a slasher.....comedy....musical?" "VINCENT YOU'RE BRILLIANT" And a few months later this cinematic abortion was unleashed. It is fun at times don't get me wrong, but you will constantly find yourself asking *beep* ANOTHER SONG?!"
