Has Vincent D'Onofrio talked about this movie?

I can't believe I sit through this movie the second time. Friends insisted it was a remake of 80's movies, despite my objection, we watched it. Second viewing did not gain any more insight for me. It was a very bad movie. I am really curious, has Vincent D'Onofrio even talked about this film? It really can be a teaching lesson for new film makers.

While D’Onofrio’s horror debut is just as graphic and gory as you’d expect from any slasher film, what sets it apart is the fact so much of the story is based around music in the form of songs written by D’Onofrio’s musical friend Sam Bisbee. The logic is that the unwitting victims in this case are a band on a sabbatical to spend time in the woods to work on some new songs, joined by a group of women. Shortly after they arrive, they start disappearing and being systematically slaughtered… and there are a bunch of songs in between the kills.

I bolded the straight-up lies. I doubt the video is anything worth watching.

I italicized the BS reason this thing was even made. "You got some crappy songs no one wants to hear, Sam? How about I make a movie using them? No, you don't have to pay me. Blow jobs for life will be fine."

Sam's versions of the songs straight up STINK. But a lot of people actually do like this type of music and have fun with the flick.

Yes, Mr. D'Onofrio did talk about his directorial debut to me and to a crowd of
film school students at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where
I live.

He did tease us, purposely not answering some questions about the motivations
of a few characters, letting us use our imaginations as to what he was trying
to portray and say.

He was a delightful speaker and took time to talk to me and anyone else who
wanted to talk to him. He also posed for countless pictures with myself and
many others.
